Hey everyone!

Dunno if you noticed, but we were Kickstarter's FEATURED PROJECT OF THE DAY in the Comics category! If that's what brought you to the project, WELCOME! You've come on board at a great time: we just unlocked our EIGHTH BONUS STRETCH GOAL ITEM, and we just revealed the final goal:

We're really hoping to hit that final stretch goal in the next 23 hours... not just because it would be a milestone for us as our first project to ever reach six figures, but also because THESE PINS WILL BE SWEET!

If you're familiar with the limited edition enamel pins that Mathieu created for the French edition release,  then you might recognize the design, but ours will be unique in that a) theirs was limited to only 300 copies and have been SOLD OUT for a while, and b) ours will be die-struck gold(en metal), not colored enamel. (Theirs were also individually numbered, ours will not be... hey, they're free...)

Can we get there on our last day...? Fingers crossed!

Seriously, we're giving away such a load of FREE STUFF with each order, it's kind of ridiculous. I mean, in terms of collectible value, this is well over $60 worth of stuff added to every package (even the single book tiers). In terms of cost of goods vs revenue margin... we're definitely giving a lot of the pie back to you the customers. Smart business advisors would ask "why give away so many things? You're burning away your profit margin! Give 'em half that! They'll still be happy -- it's all free to them anyway!" And they wouldn't be wrong, but hey... we like making cool stuff, and if it helps put more copies of Mathieu's amazing work in people's hands, then it's worth it. The goal is to get his work out there, and if it takes a shiny bauble to lure someone to the table, we know how to do that. :)

So please -- if you haven't yet and aren't normally the type to do so, please consider spreading the word on your social media channels. Tell your friends and followers. If more people come on board, we all benefit!

Hi everyone!

Whew! Thank you Martin Tessier for pushing us past the $78k goal to unlock the FREE Bonus Comic Book! A copy of JOHN'S SMALL ADVENTURE Bonus Comic will now be added to all physical pledge packages. The digital version is just about ready, too, just doing some final polishing with Mathieu, at which point we will share a link to it in a Backers-only update. This way you all can enjoy it before the rest of the world. :) This should be ready in the next day or three, so stay tuned!

We're at that slow point mid-campaign where some folks cancel while others join... two steps forward, one step back... so we've decided to pull back the curtain on a bunch of stuff with this latest update to hopefully start taking THREE steps forward and NO steps back until the end! With only 8 days left in the campaign, we decided to reveal not just the next stretch goal, but the one after that, too!

Like our other Stretch Goals, these items will be added FREE to all physical pledge packages. 

Note: these designs are just mockups and may not necessarily be final. Mathieu has some other thoughts and ideas being noodled, but you can expect the actual stickers and patch to be something along these lines.

And yes, we DO have something really nice and shiny (literally) planned (for FREE) if we break $100k, which will be a first for us in our 12 campaign history... 

Looking at it all, these Bonus items can add up to over $60 in EXCLUSIVE COLLECTIBLES you will get for FREE! We just have to spread the word and get as many people behind us a possible in the next 8 days!

OUR THIRD BIG REVEAL, JUST ADDED: SOUNDTRACK 7" VINYL SINGLE!

This might be a familiar offering for some of you who have followed us from previous campaigns -- we offered similar original vinyl singles for ASTER OF PAN and SMALL WORLD. And after some discussion with Mathieu, we're excited to add this original release to that list! 

This limited-edition 7" clear vinyl single will feature the full versions of the two original tracks produced by Neurobellum specifically for the CARBON & SILICON and SHANGRI-LA trailer videos. (You can watch the trailers at those links, or on the campaign page.) Each single will include a 13" 2-sided/four-panel foldout poster inserted into the individually numbered, full-color jacket and polysleeve. These individually-etched (not pressed) hard vinyl records will include a full-color center label, and will only be produced in a quantity necessary to satisfy this campaign's demand! Because they are so exclusive and hand-made, they are priced at $40 SRP.

You can add one to your pledge by selecting "Manage my pledge" at the top of the campaign page, confirming your current pledge selection (or changing it if you'd like to upgrade/downgrade), and then you should be taken to the Add-ons page to complete your pledge. Let us know if you are having trouble and we'll try to walk you through it.

And yes, ALL BACKERS WILL GET DIGITAL DOWNLOADS OF BOTH TRACKS FOR FREE.

These are super-nice, extremely rare/limited artifacts, and the clear vinyl is nice and thick with a good weight to it -- they will not break easily. (But why would you try...?) They will be etched at 45rpm for higher fidelity than 33. If you are a phonophile or simply a hardcore collector of rare branded swag, these will definitely satisfy.

Two updates in one day? Yes, because we couldn't wait to share the news just now received:

New York Times Bestselling author CORY DOCTOROW has written a brand new Afterword in our edition of CARBON & SILICON!

Best known for his LITTLE BROTHER, HOMELAND, and ATTACK SURFACE series, Cory is one of the most active sci-fi authors on the scene. He has not only written many celebrated, award-winning novels, he has also been an outspoken journalist monitoring the digital sphere, contributing to Wired, The Globe and Mail, and the New York Times. He's widely considered one of the biggest pillars in the "post-cyberpunk"  movement, following the course of our contemporary culture into plausible future settings (as dark as they may be...)
